Kung Hei Fat Choy!

Last week we celebrated Chinese New Year, the year of the goat with our children across the nurseries.
Here at Twinkles we love our children to experience different cultures and traditions, so planned lots of lovely activities for them to try.

Everyone from our tiny Baby Stars up to our readying for school Shining Stars got involved in the celebrations in all sorts of ways; making hats, using chopsticks, painting red envelopes, dragon dancing, creating lanterns and fans. Our big girls and boys even chopped up some vegetables for our yummy Chinese stir fry!
We were lucky enough to have Cam, one of our practitioners from Twinkles Leeds, who spent over a year living and teaching in China, who brought with her a range of wonderful Chinese related items, including special snacks and a beautiful traditional Chinese Dress.

The children had lots of fun celebrating the Chinese New Year, and particularly enjoyed dressing up as dragons and dancing around!
